Ashe Family Literacy offers classes, workshops and one-on-one sessions to help entire families improve reading and writing skills, and reach their education goals. Programming includes classes for an Adult High School Diploma, GED (General Education Development), English as a Second Language and improvement of Basic Literacy Skills. For children four and under, Ashe Family Literacy offers classes to prepare children to succeed in school and to help parents understand their important role as their child's first teacher.

Ashe Family Literacy is an Even Start program funded through Ashe County Partnership for Children, Wilkes Community College and the Ashe County School system.
