Domestic Violence Children’s Shelter Advocate
Ashe County Partnership for Children is seeking an experienced part-time Children’s Shelter Advocate for A Safe Home for Everyone (A.S.H.E.), a domestic violence and sexual assault prevention and intervention program. Ideal candidate will have experience in crisis intervention and case management with children and families. Ability to stay overnight in shelter required. The Children’s Shelter Advocate will have the following schedule: Sundays from 5pm-8 am Monday morning, Monday from 3:30 pm until 8 am Tuesday morning, Tuesday from 3:30 pm to 8 am Wednesday morning, Thursday from 3:30 pm to 8 am Friday morning. Associate’s degree preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be accepted. This position is a part-time with hourly wage between $8 to $8.50 per-hour. Overnight stays at the shelter are a flat rate of $35.
